Body Basics for Guys
What's going on here? Am I normal?
Sperm and Ejaculation
The Penis
I have a question which I'm a bit shy to ask: I'm 17 years old and I'm wondering whether my bod will continue growing or not? I'm not around 179cm tall and I don't seem to grow any taller for the past one or two years. Is it still possible for me to grow to over 180cm? Another question: I have a friend who's concerned about the "size" of his penis -.- he's wondering whether his penis will continue growing longer or bigger as he ages?
Many young people wonder and/or feel anxious about what their body will look like when it’s fully grown and when this will happen. It’s hard for us to say whether you have reached your full adult size or not. The final stage of male puberty generally happens between the ages of 14 and 18 years. It is during this stage that young men reach their full adult height and penis size.
One way of guessing how your adult height is to look at your male blood relatives. This is because our genes play a large role in our height and body shape. Keep in mind that access to nutritious food and other environmental factors influence whether our genetic potential is met. You can help reach your genetic potential by eating a well-balanced diet and getting enough exercise and sleep.
Hi, I'm 13 and I'm just wondering(I'm also quite worried)... whenever I pull back on my foreskin, at the end it gets stuck on the tip.. its hard to explain but the left side its stuck to the tip on my penis 2/3 down but on the other side it's normal.. I don't think what's happening in normal, do you guys think I might have a problem? Thanks.
It’s great that you are aware of your body and want to make sure it’s in good working order! The best way to get to the bottom of what’s going on with your foreskin and find out if it’s a health concern is to visit your doctor or local youth clinic. It could be that this is just the way your penis is designed and everything’s okay. But it’s always better to get it checked out by a professional and put your worries to rest. If you feel comfortable, you may also want to ask an adult you trust – perhaps your father – to keep you company at the doctors.
Hey. Im 14 right now, and im turning 15 in april. I was just wondering, how come my voice sounds like a girl. Its not squeky, it just sounds like a girls voice. I sometimes get angry when people tease me. I sometimes feel like i want to kill myself, and i always ask myself this question. "Why does my voice sound like this, everyone sounds normal. The guys sound like guys, and the girls sound like girls." Is there some pills, needles or medicine thing to make my voice change? I really need help, i dont think i can stand using this voice and being teased for much longer. Please reply, thanks
It sounds like you're going through some tough times. You said that you sometimes feel like killing yourself...And, this concerns me. I hope you can trust that, although they may be difficult to deal with, these feelings will pass. There's lots of support out there to help you deal with your current situation.
School counsellors tend to be great resources and sources of emotional support. They can help you find information and services to help deal with many different situations. As well, you may find it useful to visit your local Youth Clinic. The doctors and nurses there are a great resource for young people and understand the concerns you may have about your body. If you'd prefer to not to talk to someone in person, you can call the Kid's Helpline at 1-800-668-6868. In the meantime, here's a bit more information...
Many people find puberty to be a tricky experience with lots of emotional ups and downs. It can be hard getting used to the changes that have already happened and waiting for other changes to happen. And, it can be even harder to deal with these changes when other people tease you. Their teasing says a lot more about them than it does about you; it's disrespectful and is not okay.
Boys start to move into puberty at about 12 or 13 with a growth spurt. The voice generally starts to change and deepen - at about age 14 to 15 - after their growth spurt. At this time, your body's testosterone (a hormone) causes your larynx (also known as your voice box) to grow thicker.
As your vocal cords become longer and thicker, your voice starts to deepen. The first signs that your voice is change is sudden squeaking or crackling while talking. Many boys find this embarrassing, especially since it can be quite unpredictable. If you can, try not to let this worry you...It's just a normal part of your body's changes.
I like to cut my pubic hairs because I find it really itchy. I dont think it should be like that, please clearfly.
: It's not a problem to trim your pubic hairs. Many people choose to do so for different reasons, including not liking the look or the feel of pubic hairs. What's important is doing what makes you feel comfortable with your body. That said, it's hard for us to know why your pubic area may be itchy. Perhaps this is something you should discuss with your doctor or with the staff at your local Youth Clinic.
hi im very concerned with my height. I have been working out in the gym for almost a year. Im 15 and 5 months old. My mom is 4 9" and my dad is 5 6". I am 5 4" I think that my workout is effecting my height. Is there any way I can grow any taller or is this as tall as im going to get?
Thanks for your question! Many teens wonder what their bodies will be like when they reach the end of puberty. Most guys reach their full adult height between their 14th and 18th birthdays. The genes we inherit from our parents give us the "potential" for our height. You can use your parents' height as a rough estimate of your "height" genes. However, it's hard to know if your parents grew to their full potential or not. Whether we reach that potential or not depends on whether the conditions of our life give us what our bodies need to grow. A healthy diet is a very important factor in growing to our full potential. It's hard for us to say whether your working out is affecting your body negatively. The best way to find out is to visit your doctor or local Youth Clinic and run your concerns past them.
I am 15 years old (16 in september) and I was introduced to grinding at dances this year. The problem is that I can't control my erection while im dancing with the girl. She doesnt seem to mind but I'm worried about future problems. Could Y'all help?
The sure way to reduce chances of getting an erection while dancing is to dance without grinding. Grinding - rubbing your body rhythmically against your partner while dancing - seems sexual to your body and will likely stimulate your body sexually. So, it's not unusual for guys to get an erection while grinding! You may be able to lower your chances of getting erection by masturbating before leaving for the dance or drinking lots of fluid so you have to urinate (it's often harder to get an erection if you've just urinated).
Because grinding involves being so close to someone else and has sexual connotations, you'll want to make sure that your dance partner wants to grind with you. Knowing this may also solve your concerns about your dance partner being offended by the possibility of you getting an erection. If you or your partner seems uncomfortable with what's happening, it's time to dance with more space between you!
My penis alway get hard for no certain reason at any given time. Is that normal?
Unexpected erections are another normal part of puberty. Erections can result from not only arousal but fear, embarrassment, and even, like you said, for no reason at all! It's totally normal and men of all ages experience this.
During the night, when I am sleeping, I usually "cum" once a week. Is that normal?
This is an absolutely normal part of being male and going through puberty. The technical word for this is "nocturnal emission;" the slang word is "wet dream." Wet dreams are your body's way of releasing built up semen supplies. Some guys find they have fewer or no wet dreams if they masturbate frequently (this prevents semen build ups).
Hello I just wanted to know if this is normal. When I'am ejaculated my penis curves to the right. Is this normal ???
Great question! Lots of people wonder if how their body is put together and how it works is normal. Luckily, we're all unique and no one is completely symmetrical. So, a slight curve in your penis is most likely normal. That said, it is difficult to assess possible health concerns through email or the Internet. The best way to get to the bottom of this curve is to visit your family doctor or someone at a Youth Clinic.
I like sex and I get horny all the time and I'm only 12 and I need it.
You are becoming an adolescent, and it's very natural to feel sexual. I'm feeling horny is a normal part of being human. Masturbation, in an appropriate and private place, is a good way to explore your body and fill its sexual needs.
I have a couple hairs here and there on my penis (not the head) And i was wondering if that's normal?
Great question! Lot of boys and girls wonder what's happening to their body and if it's normal when they start to notice changes at puberty. Puberty is the fancy word for when your body changes from being a child to an adult. Puberty takes place over many years and is triggered by hormones (chemicals our bodies produce). Some of these changes can be very scary and kind of strange...But don't worry, this is just a normal part of growing up!
During puberty, boys grow pubic hair - this is just another fancy word for the hair around the base of their penis. Girls also grow pubic hair around their vulva. Just like the hair on each of our heads is different, so is our pubic hair. A few stray hairs on the shaft of the penis is not unusual. However, if you are concerned, you can talk to your doctor or someone at a Youth Clinic.
It's always good to know about the changes going on in your body. You find our more by reading a book about puberty, checking out our website, or asking your doctor for more information.
I'm twelve years and 7 months am I too young to start shaving. I have facial hair on above my lip.
The decision to start shaving is a very personal one...It's very difficult to say: "when you're such an age, it's time to shave." It depends on how your facial hair is developing (which is different for each person) and how you feel about the hair on your face. So, if you would prefer to take the hair off, then it's time to start shaving. But, if it doesn't really bother you to have it there, then you might as well wait until it does bother you. Shaving can be a bit tricky so if you feel ready to start, you may want to talk to someone who has been shaving for a while to get some tips. Good luck!
How does wet dream works? I alway thought you need to touch your penis for it to "cum" Thats all my questions for now, thx you.
When guys go through puberty, their bodies start to produce sperm and semen. Wet dreams - or also known as nocturnal emissions - are the body's way of getting rid of semen when there's too much in the body. Most often, wet dreams happen when you have a dream with sexual imagery and your body becomes sexually aroused to the point of orgasm.
Does every guy have wet dreams at night or experienced it once before? Can girls have wet dreams? Why would wet dreams go away when we grow up?
Wet dreams, also known as nocturnal emissions, are something that many - but not all - guys and some girls experience during adolescence. A wet dream happens when you are sleeping and you dream about someone you find attractive or something that "turns you on" sexually. This turns your body's sexual response on automatically. Guys may get an erection and may release some pre-cum or even ejaculate, if they have an orgasm. Similarly, when a girl is having a dream that is sexually stimulating, her vagina may release a lubricating fluid.
Wet dreams are more common for adolescent boys as its one way the male body tries to deal with the changes it is experiencing. Producing sperm and semen - and the hormones that trigger these processes - are new things for your body, and it takes a while for the body to "get things right" or regulate itself. This means that there can be a build up of semen, which needs to be released. Wet dreams are one way for the body to release this build up. As people get older, their bodies get these processes figured out better. That said, grown men still have erotic dreams and may have erections while sleeping.
How do you stop from having wet dreams?
Wet dreams are your body's way of releasing built up semen. If you don't want to have wet dreams, you'll need to make sure there isn't a build up of semen - which requires ejaculating. Masturbating before going to sleep may stop your wet dreams.
hey i just wondering if it was normal to get an erection every morning when you wake up. I also get erections when I'm just sitting down reading or watching t.v. i don't know why i get these erections because its really embarrasing getting them in class and stuff well doing a test also I might be talking to my brother and i'll get one.
It's not uncommon for guys to have a few unexpected erections throughout the day and night, especially when going through puberty. Getting an erection doesn't always mean that you're sexually aroused; it can be caused by fear, embarrassment, and even for no reason at all! Although it can feel embarrassing to get an erection while you're in class or hang out with friends or family, it's best to remember that this is a normal guy-experience and just ignore it! You'll probably find that your erections disappear quite quickly when don't pay attention to them. You can also try to get your mind off of your erection by distracting yourself (try saying the alphabet backwards in your head).
Where is a good place to cum after masturbation? During masturbation, I have an orgasm and then I ejaculate into the toilet. Is this safe in terms of the water system? Or is there a better way to dispose of the semen?
It’s great to see that you’re thinking about health and safety issues! The sewage system is designed to safely dispose of human waste. This means that it is 100% safe to put semen and any toilet paper you’ve used to clean up in the toilet. Keep in mind that too much toilet paper, paper towel, and condoms can all plug the pipes in your toilet.
There are many other methods of cleaning up semen. Some guys use tissue that they need throw in the garbage. Some use a towel or their underwear as these items can be cleaned in the laundry. Some guys just use their hands and then rinse the semen off in the sink or shower with soap and water.
After I finish ejaculating (ie-through masturbation), I usually make myself pee afterwards. Now, is this safe to do? because i have this psychological feeling that somehow the sperm will travel up my urinal system when the "what-ever gland" opens up when I pee, and the sperm will go into my bloodstream or something as cause some kind of disease.
It’s completely safe to urinate after ejaculation. Although semen and urine do come out of the same tube (called the urethra), there is a structure between the bladder and the urethra that closes when the penis is erect. This prevents semen and urine from mixing. Also, things flow out of the bladder and not into it so if you pee after ejaculation, this would flush out any semen that is in the urethra.
It is highly unlikely that your semen could cause problems inside your body. However, if you were not taking care to keep your genital area clean, it is possible that you could get an infection (not an STI though) as bacteria and fungus tend to grow in dark moist areas.
Does ejaculation content have disease in them that will affect ourselves or others?
Semen is one of the body fluids that can carry the viruses and bacteria that cause STIs and HIV. So, if someone is infected with an STI or HIV, their semen can lead to someone else being infected. People cannot infect themselves with an STI or HIV. However, if someone were not taking care to keep their genital area clean, it is possible that they could get an infection (not an STI though) as bacteria and fungus tend to grow in dark moist areas.
Hi, i wanted to know if ejaculation is safe if you are only 14 years old. Does the body lose anything it's not supposed to? Will it affect your sperm? And is it normal when after ejaculation, I cant get an erection? Thanks for your help.
Boys and girls go through a lot of physical, social, and emotional changes during adolescence as they transition into their adult body. All these changes and new experiences happening at once can be a challenge. It’s great to see that you are looking for answers to help you understand what’s going on in your body. This is an important step for taking care of yourself!
Ejaculation is a natural function of the healthy male reproductive system and is completely safe. There are six stages in male puberty with ejaculation starting in the fourth stage. Young men generally enter this stage at age 14 or 15. However, each person moves through puberty at their own pace: some young men start ejaculating at 11 and others at 17.
You may have heard that semen can carry sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and HIV. It is common for young men to worry about health risks from their own semen. However, keep in mind that these diseases are passed through unprotected sexual contact with an infected person not from contact with your own semen. It’s important to clean your genitals with soap and water daily: bacteria and fungus tend to grow in dark moist areas.
The male body continuously makes new sperm and semen so you don’t have to worry about harming your body by ejaculating. In fact, nocturnal emissions – commonly referred to as wet dreams – is the body’s way of getting rid of sperm and semen when there it builds up.
It’s 100% normal to not be able to get another erection immediately after ejaculation. This is because your body is tired and needs time to rest after orgasm. This rest period is called the “refractory period” and varies from man to man and even for the same man over his lifetime.
What is cum?
Cum is a slang name for the body fluid -called ejaculation - that is released from a man's penis or a woman's urethra and vagina when they experience sexual pleasure or an orgasm. Cum or ejaculation from a man is the release of semen (that white fluid) which contains sperm that can fertilize a woman's egg.
how do i know when im about to ejaculate??????
Ejaculation generally - but not always - accompanies orgasms in males. Orgasms generally happen after you desire sex (feel horny), feel aroused, and your body has been sexually stimulated. At the peak of sexual excitement, there will be involuntary contractions in your prostrate gland, vas deferens, and seminal vesicles. These contractions push the semen out of your penis. You can also know that your body is getting close to orgasm as it will first become more tense and then it will relax. You might notice this tensing and relaxing more in the area around your pelvis.
That said, each person is unique and so too is the way they orgasm. One person can also experience many different kinds of orgasms depending on how they are stimulated! The best way to know how and when you are going to ejaculate is to spend some time getting to know your body. Masturbating is a healthy way to learn more about how your body works and what makes you feel good.
Some people think that if knowing when you are going ejaculate and pulling out is a good enough way to prevent sexually transmitted infections, HIV, and unintended pregnancies. This is a risky technique as the penis lubricates itself with pre-cum when the guy becomes aroused and the chances of not pulling out before ejaculation are quite high.
My sperm has recently started to smell and taste bad. What can I do to get it smelling and tasting right?
It sounds like something you might want to talk to your doctor about. Perhaps it has something to do with your diet??? Our advice would be to see a doctor.
Please tell me if there is any sperm in precum. Is it possible to get someone pregnant with precum?
Pre-cum, a fluid that comes out of the penis when the man becomes aroused, is meant to act as a natural lubricant. However, just like semen that is released during ejaculation, it can carry sperm or germs that cause STIs and HIV. If you want to reduce the chances of an unintended pregnancy or STI/HIV infection, it's important to use a male or female condom as soon as there is genital contact and yes there is enough sperm in pre-cum and - even this little bit - can get someone pregnant.
what happens to the guys sperm if he doesn't ejaculate within the 72 hours?
This is a good question! Semen that is not ejaculated lives in the male sexual anatomy for up to four to six weeks, then get re-absorbed into the body naturally. So, not ejaculating is not harmful at all, and sperm and semen is in constant production. If you have any more questions about how sperm is made, or anything else, just email us again!
Hey I think I am a premature ejaculator, but I am not sure. around how long it normaly takes a male to ejaculate? And if I am a premature ejaculator is there a way to hold my ejaculation? Thanks.
Many guys wonder about whether their penis and the way it works is normal....There's lots of pressure out there to "perform" at top standards! We'd suggest you take this label out of your mind and go easy on yourself! Most guys ejaculate quicker than they'd like when they first start having sexual contact with someone they are attracted to...This can be both a very exciting and scary event and your body reacts accordingly!
And, even once you are more comfortable being sexual involved with someone else, it can take different lengths of time to have an orgasm depending on things like how excited you are. Keep in mind that even if you do ejaculate and/or lose your erection, there are lots of activities you can use to pleasure your partner that don't involve your penis (for example, snuggling or oral sex).
If you really are really concern about this, you may want to go visit your local Youth Clinic and get some medical advice. One thing they may recommend is called the Masters and Johnson method. It involves getting familiar with the sensations that lead up to orgasm. Once you know what your point of climax or "no return" feels like, take yourself almost there, stop, allow yourself to partially lose your erection, and then continue. Do this a few times. This should help you develop more control over your erection and orgasm. It may take a few weeks of practice, though.
What is the shortest time for a guy to "cum" twice, because usually I masturbate for about 5minutes and I "cum" I do it again, it just wont "cum" again.
When a guy has several orgasms in a short period of time, it's possible that his body will run out of semen to ejaculate. This doesn't mean that he can't still have an orgasm. It just means that there may be very little or no semen that's ejaculated during orgasm. Your body is always making more sperm and semen so, eventually, there will be something for it to ejaculate again. The length of time this takes depends on the person's body.
Is it possible to run out of semens?
Once a boy hits puberty, his body begins to constantly make new sperm and semen. There is always a supply waiting inside your body or in the process of being created so you'll never be out of semen for long!
When I masturbate before I cum, I have drops of tiny clear fluid coming out, what would that be?
This is called pre-ejaculate or pre-cum and is your body's way of providing a bit of lubrication for sex. Pre-cum contains some sperm and can carry germs if someone has a STI. This is why it's important to wear a condom as soon as your genitals may come into contact with someone else's.
When I have wet dream, I cum, and all the cum are stick to my underwear, what is the best way to clean if off.
Just put your underwear in the laundry as you normally would. The semen should come out in the wash.
Is there any other way(besides natural gorwth) that I can try to enlarge my penis?
Penis size is a very common concern for many men. This concern is mainly the result of misconceptions that say bigger penises are better or provide more sexual pleasure. There are a lot of things other than penis size that effect one’s ability to provide someone else with sexual pleasure.
We believe that it’s more important that your penis is healthy and that you are able to communicate openly with your partner about everything from your relationship to what you both find sexually stimulating. That said, there are many products from pills to gadgets that claim to increase penis size. These products tend to be sold in adult entertainment stores and whether they actually work is disputable. It is also possible to enlarge the penis through surgery. This, however, is an expensive option and comes with the risks of complications.
there some thing to make penis grow im 14 and mines is tiny. HELP!
It’s a common experience for people to worry about how their body “measures” up to beauty standards or to feel like their body isn’t okay the way it is. These worries are often connected to the unrealistic beauty standards that we see in the media. For example, boys and men are faced with the misconception that bigger penises are absolutely necessary for attracting partners and experiencing sexual pleasure. This can leave guys wondering what the size and shape of their penis means for their ability to find and keep relationships.
However, in reality, penises come in many different shapes and sizes and are largely dependant on your genes. Some are shorter when flaccid and may grow longer and thicker in their erect state. Others are longer and thicker when flaccid and don’t change as much during an erection. Also, the penis is only one of many body parts involved in giving and receiving sexual pleasure, and sexual intimacy is only one part of a relationship.
If knowing that penis size isn’t as important as it’s made out to be doesn’t put your mind to ease, you may be happy to know you are most likely still going through puberty. This means that your penis will continue to grow and change until it reaches its full adult size sometime between now and when you’re 18.
Keep in mind that the penis is just one of the many body parts involved in the sexual pleasure men and their partners may experience. For example, the mind plays a very important role in sexual pleasure!
When i have an erection my penis goes straight instead of curving upwards. Is this a disease?
It’s quite common for people to wonder if their body is normal. This worry is even more common when it comes to genitals. As the genitals are private body parts, most of us have a limited understanding of the wide variety in shapes and sizes of penises and vulvas. Just like hands or feet, genital have common features and functions but will look somewhat different from person to person. Some penis curve upwards, downwards, sideways, and even not at all. That said, you should visit your doctor if your penis has changed shape, if you feel pain when you have an erection, or if you just want to be sure that everything is okay.
Does penis size really matter? Will it affect the performance of sex, not giving pleasure to my partner or not be able to make a girl pregnant when I grow up and married.
It's a fact of life that people and body parts come in all shapes and sizes. We each have to learn how to live in and use the body we come with to the best of our abilities. Feeling comfortable with your body and its parts can be especially difficult and confusing while you're a teen as your body is growing and changing.
You may find it useful to think of your question in relation to the age-old adage: "it's not what you've got but how you use it that counts". When people suggest that a larger penis provides more pleasure, they are usually thinking about sexual intercourse (a penis going into the vagina or anus). This is a pretty limited view of sexuality!
Sexual intimacy is much more complex than simply intercourse. Not only are there many kinds of sexual activities besides intercourse, your whole body can respond to sexual pleasure not just your genitals. Your skin and brain are two very important sexual organs! The best way to learn how to pleasure your partner is to know about your body and his/hers and communicate openly about what you both like.
Penis size also does not affect whether a couple can get pregnant. Pregnancy is caused by a man's sperm fertilizing a woman's egg. So long as the sperm are deposited in or very close to the vagina, they will be able to swim up the vaginal canal, through the cervix, and towards the egg.
What do I do if my penis is crooked? Its harder and bigger on one side.
Penises, like all other parts of the body, come in different shapes and sizes. Chances are your penis functions just the same as other penises, and you probably have nothing to worry about. You may want to have a doctor examine it, just so you know that it's fine. If you are uncomfortable seeing your family doctor, you can go to a free clinic.
When you have a small penis, would you not be able to perform some positions?
We all have unique bodies that work in slightly different ways from everyone else. As with other things in life, we can't all do exactly the same things. This means we get to discover what works best for us and our partner.
how big is the penus suppose to be to plaesure a girl
This is a question that many men wonder about and, more precisely, what it means about their own ability to please their partner. It seems that someone started a rumour that "bigger is better" and this rumour just won't go away. This is sad because each of us is unique: we're different heights, weights, sizes, colours, etc., and thinking that one size is better than all others leaves many people feeling like they aren't "good enough" just the way they are.
Have you ever heard the phrase: "it's not the size of the ship, but the motion of the ocean"? This means that there really is no ideal size for a penis. Just like we're each a unique being physically, we're also unique in what gives us sexual pleasure. Pleasing your partner has much more to do with respect, trust, and being able to communicate - especially about what makes both of you feel good - than it does about the size of the penis. In fact, many women get more pleasure from other sexual activities than they do from vaginal intercourse.
When I am erect and i pull back the foreskin of my penis sometimes the skin breaks causing tiny painful cuts. I try using healing ointments and even so when the cuts heal they break open again when i pull back my foreskin. This makes it impossible for me to engage in sexual activities. Can you please help me because this is becoming very depressing and bothersome. Please tell me what i should do to heal these cuts and stop this skin breakage. Please help me A.S.A.P
It's great to see that you're looking into how to taking care of your health! It should be easy and painless to pull the foreskin back over the head of the penis. When this isn't the case, it can cause pain during sexual activities and make it difficult to use condoms properly. Although ointments might provide a temporary solution, if the foreskin is too tight, it will continue to cause discomfort and tear when you engage in sexual activities. The best thing to do is to visit your doctor or local youth clinic. They will be able to help you find a permanent solution.
Hello, I have a question. Lately on my penis, on the head there are red marks, like the skin has torn in some areas. It seems if I masturbate more the tears more but its just on one layer of skin. It doesn't hurt. Is this from lots of lots of masturbation, and is just temporary (like a little tear). Or is this something else? Thanks!
Thanks for your question! Knowing your body and noticing when things don't seem quite right are important steps for taking care of your health. It's hard for us to tell what's causing the red marks on the glands of your penis. The best way to find out what's going on and how to take care of these sores is to visit your family doctor or local youth clinic for a check-up. We have a list of youth clinics on our website if you don't know where the closest one is.
In the meantime, if you find that more sores appear after masturbating, you may want to wait until the sores heal before masturbating again or use a lubricant to reduce friction. Also, if you are currently sexually active with another person, you should be even more careful about condom use.
I'm a Grade 7 student and I'm wondering if what is the average size penis of a 13 year old and what size should it be when it is erect. I wanna know if the size of my penis right now is normal or not.
This is a question that many boys your age have! There are many studies out there that will tell you what an average size penis should be and most of them will tell you a different average... proving that there is no "correct" size. We get caught up in ideas that there is an average size of penises for many reasons. Messages from TV and from friends/peers are that penises should be a certain size or shape. But the reality is that penises, just like bodies, noses, eyes, ears, whatever... come in different shapes and sizes.
There are some average numbers of penises of adult males. By the time a male is 18, his penis is usually "full grown." The average adult penis is between 2 1/2 to 5 inches long when soft. When erect, the average penis is between 4 and 8 inches long. There are no statistics on averages size of younger boys' penises because they are still growing, and they grow at different rates.
Chances are your penis is fine, but if you do have concerns talk with a trusted adult or next time you go to the doctor, ask him/her about it! If you ever need medical help for any type of problem you can always visit one of the Vancouver youth clinics.
Just remember that you are still growing and that being comfortable with your body is much more important than how "big" or "small" you are, or what others think of you.
im not circumsized i was just wondering if i were to get head would the gurl rather have no forskin? and another one does it feel the same in the vagina when having sex to have foreskin are not? plz help me figure this out!!@!1
When baby boys are born, there is a sleeve of skin and tissue - called the prepuce and more commonly known as foreskin - that covers the head of the penis. Depending on a wide variety of factors including cultural and religious background, some males have a surgical procedure - known as circumcision - to remove the foreskin. Although very common in North America, it's estimated that only 20% of all the men in the whole world are circumcised. That means there are a lot of people in the world who are more accustomed to engaging in sexual activities with a partner who still has his foreskin than without!
Although your peers may be more used to circumcised penises and may remark that yours looks different from others they may have seen, there is no reason that they wouldn't enjoy sexual activities with someone who is uncircumcised. Part of being romantically involved with someone is discovering the multitude of things that make them who they are. We all are unique in the structure of our bodies, our beliefs and dreams, what we like and dislike, etc.
You may also find it interesting to know that when an uncircumcised penis becomes erect, the foreskin tends to retract from the head of the penis all on it own! (That said, sometimes you may have to push back the foreskin with your fingers. You also need to make sure the foreskin is pushed back when putting on a condom.) This means that the way a circumcised and uncircumcised penis feel during vaginal intercourse are quite similar. Plus, any differences would likely be too subtle for most women to recognize.

It sounds like something is not working right in your body. It could be an infection or something else. The only way to know what's going on and how to deal with it is to visit your doctor, local Youth Clinic, or a sexual and reproductive health clinic in your area such as those run by Planned Parenthood. They will ask you questions about what's going on in your body, your sexual history, and do medical exams and tests to figure out behind the changes you've noticed.
II'm thinking of getting circumcised. I need some info on the pros and cons of circumcision and where should I go to get circumcised?
We definitely suggest you getting the input of a medical profession... but for what it's worth, here's our opinion.
Circumcision (removal of the foreskin of the penis) is usually done at birth. Some people think that it is necessary for cleanliness, but recent medical knowledge states this is not true. However, there have been new studies that indicate that circumcision can reduce your risks of acquiring the HIV virus if exposed to it, though only a small difference. If you have a foreskin and just pull it back and clean behind the head, you'll be fine! Having or not having a foreskin does not affect the sensitivity of the penis.
