What is the "G" spot?

The G-spot is located in the woman's reproductive organ area. It consists of spongy tissue that surrounds the urethra. It can be felt by putting fingers in the vagina and pressing forward near the top of the vagina. Some people describe it as feeling similar to the roof of the mouth once it is aroused. Stimulation of this area can be pleasurable for women. The size, location, and sensitivity of the G-spot vary from woman to woman. It’s generally the size of a quarter and about two to three inches from the entrance of the vagina on the front side of the body. Also, stimulating the G-spot can lead some women to ejaculate a fluid. However, the G-spot should not be confused with the clitoris - which is the organ at the tip of the vulva (located near the urethra opening - where we pee from - and between the vulva lips). The clitoris is an organ that when stimulated (i.e. by hands, mouth) can bring women to orgasm!

What's going on here?! Am I normal?!

Hello, I am a female, and when me and my boyfriend are foreplaing and having sex, for some reason my vaginal area does not naturally lubricate itself. I can be in the mood and want it but it doen't happen. What could be a reason fro this?

Many people don’t know that it’s quite common for the amount of lubricant the vagina produces to fluctuate, and most women will experience vaginal dryness at some point in their lives. Vaginal dryness can be a result of many things other than simply whether you are sexually aroused or not. This includes alcohol and drug use; relationship tension; positive or negative stresses; and medications like antibiotics, birth control pills, and allergy medications. Further, every woman’s body is different and some women just produce less vaginal lubricant than others.

You may want to consider using a water-based lubricant (commonly known as lube). This will increase the moisture and slipperiness of your vulva and vagina, making sexually activity safer and increasing your pleasure. You can buy lube in most drug stores and most grocery stores. Make sure it says “water-based” and “condom compatible” as oil-based lubricants can break down the latex in condoms.

i want to ask a question. Today morning i had intercourse with my boy friend, and he had condom on and pull out when he ejectculates. tonite, there are still vaginal fluid coming out of my body, why is this happening?

It’s great to see that you’re curious about how your body works! Knowing this will help you take care of your health! The vagina naturally secretes fluids – known as vaginal fluids or discharge – for two reasons: to act as a lubricant and to keep the vagina clean. The amount of fluid secreted changes over the course of a woman’s menstrual cycle and during the sexual response cycle. For example, many women find that their vagina secretes more fluid in the days before their period.

ok im a girl and i have hanging skin where my vagina is. I'm uh......kind of lopsided........or the opening of the vagina the lip thingy.......it's like......one side is kind of longer.............and kind of sticking out.....it never realli bothered me when i was a child or i don't think i had it when i was a child.......i'm not sure............is it normal?

We're happy to hear that you are curious about your body and health! The hanging skin is likely the part of your vulva called the Labia Minora. These are protective layers of skin, also called vaginal lips, that are surrounded by the labia minora (the larger, outer lips that surround that protect and cushion your vulva). Each woman has a unique vulva: for example, the size and colour of the Labia can vary a lot from person to person. Your vulva develops during puberty so it is normal to notice a lot of change during this time. Every woman has these inner lips you describe but no two girls are alike.

Can a girl break her hymen by using a tampon?

The hymen is a thin piece of skin around the opening to the vagina that most - but not all - girls are born with. Each girl has a unique hymen: some may look like a thin film, some like a spider's web, some may cover the entire vaginal opening, some may only partially cover the opening, etc. All hymens have holes in them to allow vaginal and menstrual fluids to pass through. The hymen can easily be stretched or torn; this does not only happen during first intercourse. Everyday activities like using a tampon, riding your bike, doing gymnastics, and masturbating can stretch or tear the hymen. And, it is absolutely okay, normal and healthy for this to happen.

is it normal to have some clear discharge even when you are not doing any sexual activity?

Your vagina has a complex ecosystem. This includes the clear discharge you have mentioned, which helps keep your vagina clean and healthy.

Many people are surprised to find out that no one is perfectly symmetrical! Each side of our body is just a little bit different from the other. However, if you are concerned that the difference in sizes may be more than normal, you can always ask your doctor or the staff at a local Youth Clinic for their medical opinion. The staff at the Youth Clinics are great people and have a lot of experience working with teens. It may make it easier to ask for their opinion if you keep in mind that they've likely already heard and seen it all!

are there any ways to make my chest bigger? i'm fourteen and i have a really small chest! i don't know what size cup i am though! is there a way to measure what cup you are? please i really need your help i want to be at least a B cup(i know how big that is) or more!! which is impossible but a girl can dream! thanx for your help i hope! anything to make them bigger is fine!!!

Being concerned about the size, shape, and way your body is developing is a common experience for teens. Everyone hits puberty at a different age and takes a different amount of time for their bodies to develop fully. It is possible that your breasts have not yet finished growing. You can get a sense of how your breasts may look when they finish developing by looking at your mother and aunts.

In the meantime, there's not much you can do about your breast size besides learning to like them as they are. Some women find that their breast size increases when on the birth control pill or if they put on weight. And, of course, there are also surgical implants. However, one of the wonderful things about breasts is that they come in many different sizes and shapes. And although we receive messages about what the "ideal" breast looks like, the truth is that different people find different kinds of breasts attractive. So, if your desire for bigger breasts is related to fitting a beauty ideal, you may want to re-examine whether it's really necessary to meet this standard or if it's better to work at getting more comfortable with yourself as you are!

As for figuring out what size of bra you need, the easiest way to find out is to get measured at a department store. However, you can also figure it out yourself but will need someone with a tape measure to help you out. First you measure around your chest directly under your breasts and add 5 inches to that number to get your band size. Then move the tape measure up so it goes under your arms, around your chest and over the fullest part of your breast. To determine your cup size, you'll need to compare the difference between this number and the band size. A difference of a half inch would mean an AA cup, one inch an A cup, and 2 inches a B cup.

Hi, I'm now 14 and i was wondering if there is any way that a girl can make her breasts larger and firmer without having to take any pills? I'd really appreciate if you could help me out with this. Like, how do you know when your breasts have reached full size?

It sounds like you're not happy with the size of your breasts. This is a very normal experience; many women wish their breasts were either larger or smaller. There are a lot of messages out there about what great breasts look like and this doesn't fit most women's realities. We are all born with what we get; our genetic make-up decides how big and firm our breasts will grow. So, unless you want to consider surgery or pills (which we don't recommend), there's not too much you can do about your breast size except to like them as they are (which we do recommend!). Also, at 14, your breasts may not be finished growing. If you want to see how your breasts may turn out, sneak a peak at your mother's, aunts', and grandmothers' breasts as this will give you an idea of the "breast genes" in your family. That said, you may be able to change the size of your breasts somewhat by building up your pectoral muscles (these are located under the breasts) or trying to put on weight (breasts are made of fat so, if you're gaining weight, some is bound to go there). The average age that girls reach the final stage of puberty is 15 years, but it's not uncommon for girls to reach this stage anywhere between the ages of 12 and 19 years. At this point, the body has reached its "adult" size. However, because breast size is related to body weight, they can shrink or grow throughout your lifetime if you lose or gain weight. Breasts also tend to grow when a woman is pregnant and/or breastfeeding.

What about my period?

can u "do it" when you are having your period??

There are no health reasons that make it impossible to engage in sexual activities while menstruating. In fact, some women find that sexual activity helps to relieve discomfort from cramps. It's not so much a question of "can you" and more a question of "do you and your partner want to". Some people are really bothered by the idea of menstrual blood and others aren't. If you choose to be sexually active while menstruating, it's important to take steps to prevent STIs, HIV, and unintended pregnancies. Make sure you're using a condom. You may also want to put an old towel under you to keep the menstrual blood from staining anything.

In the last month I had protected sex three times with this guy. None of the times has he ejaculated. However, I havent gotten my period yet (its almost 2 weeks late and has always been regular). My friend told me she heard something about your cycle changing after you loose your virginity. I was wondering if this was true? And if so, could you please give me a little more information about it?

It's hard to say why your period may be late. It's very common for a young woman's menstrual cycles to be irregular and even change for the first 5 years or so after her first period. Changes in your cycle are related to changes in your body's hormones, which can be affected by all sorts of things. Some examples are: stress, dietary changes, eating too little, exercising too much, and even the people you spend a lot of time with! Choosing to have sexual intercourse for the first time can be a stressful decision. There are also new worries that go along with being sexually active such as pregnancy and STIs. These stresses and worries may have an affect on your period.

You said that you had protected sex - which, I hope, means you used a condom - and your partner did not ejaculate. This means that it is unlikely that sperm got into your vagina, which mean it's highly unlike that your period is late because you're pregnant. However, if you are worried about being pregnant, you may want to visit your local Youth Clinic for a pregnancy test. This would also give you an opportunity to learn more about your body and how to protect yourself against unwanted pregnancies and STIs.

Over the summer this guy and i were fooling around. We didn't have sex but he kept touching me and vice versa. a week or two later i was supposed to get my period but i missed it by 4 days.. and it also lasted 2 or 3 days longer than usual. i never really thought much of it, but it's really bugging me now. My question is.. could i be pregnant? and if i would still have my period during the 9 months of pregnancy, or would i not have my period at all?

Since you got your period, you are likely not pregnant. If you really want to make sure though, you can visit a Youth Clinic or your doctor for a pregnancy test. There are many reasons why your period may have been different than usual. For the first few years of menstruation, young women's periods are often irregular in the length of the period and the time between periods. Stress can also effect your period, making it come late or early and even changing your flow.

To avoid pregnancy and STIs, it's important to keep semen away from your vagina when you're fooling around. If a guy is rubbing his penis near the entrance of your vagina without a condom, it's possible for sperm to swim inside. It's also good to make sure that neither of you touches your vagina with his cum.

Hi, I was wondering how and where do you put a tampon?

Tampons are inserted into the vagina to catch the menstrual fluids the body releases during your period. Girls have three openings around their genitals: the urethra (where urine comes out), vagina, and anus. The vagina is the larger opening closer to the front of your body (if you use a small hand-held mirror you should be able to see your vaginal opening). You may find it easier to use tampons for the first time if you use the smallest size, read over the instructions, and are as relaxed as possible (if you are tense, it is harder to insert things into your vagina). Some girls worry about tampons getting lost inside their body...This can't happen as the cervix prevents anything from going too far into the body. And, once if it's inserted properly, you shouldn't even feel it! Like everything, using tampons gets easier and more comfortable as you get more used to it.

I am 15 years old and I don't know what size tampon is right for me. I really want to know what size to wear so I want mess up my clothes during school or basketball practice. Thanks for your time.

It's confusing for a lot of girls to decide what kinds of tampons or pads to use. Most young girls try out the tampons that are called Slimfits (or any tampons that are labeled "thin") at first. If a tampon is the right size and absorbency for you, you'll know because it'll feel like you're not even wearing one, and there will be no leaks to your underwear. A lot of girls wear a pantyliner just in case too!

Hey, I'm 15 years old and I just got my period. I'm going to the beach with my best friend…And we want to go in the water, and she said “you using a tampon”. I tried putting one in to see what it felt like, and I have no clue how to put on in. I thought I had it in the right way but it didn't feel right. I'm scared to do it again. Tell me please how to put one in. Thanks.

Many women and girls really like the freedom that tampons provide. Tampons can make it easier to stay active while menstruating. It's not uncommon to feel nervous and unsure about trying something new. With practice and time, most women get comfortable using tampons.

Knowing and feeling comfortable with your body and how the reproductive system works is a good first step. If you would like to see a diagram of the female vulva, check out this link: http://www.planetahead.ca/assets/know_body_vulva.jpg. Tampons are inserted through the vaginal opening and up towards the end of the vaginal canal. Some girls worry that the tampon may get lost inside their body. The cervix closes off the vagina so this won't happen. Most girls say they can't feel the tampon once it's in place.

Choosing the right tampon for you is also very important. There are different sizes of tampons from slim to extra absorbent. A general rule is that tampons get larger as the level of absorbance increases. There are also different types of applicators including, plastic, cardboard, and none at all. Tampons can feel uncomfortable if they are too absorbent for your menstrual flow or it's the first time you are inserting something in your vagina. Many girls find it most comfortable to use the slim fit tampons.

It tends to be easiest to insert the tampon when sitting on the toilet or squatting. If you are using a tampon with an applicator, hold the applicator between your thumb and forefinger at the place where the two pieces meet. Place the curved or cottony end (the string will be at the other end) inside the vaginal opening and slide the applicator into your vagina until you reach the place the two pieces meet (where your fingers are holding the applicator). This will be easier if you feel relaxed as your vagina is made up of muscles that contract (get tight) when nervous. Once the applicator is in place, you push down on the piece that is still outside your vagina. This will position the tampon high up in your vaginal canal.

Some women prefer tampons without applicators. If you are using this type of tampon, it's important that you wash your hands thoroughly before inserting the tampon. Hold the end with the string loosely between your fingers, place your forefinger in the indentation and use this finger to guide the tampon into place in the same way you would use an applicator.

It's important that you change your tampons regularly (about every 4 to 6 hours). There is a slight risk of Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS), which can cause hair loss, kidney failure, and heart and lung disease.

You can read more about how to insert a tampon and the risks of TSS on the instructions that come with each box of tampons.

It's a hairy situation

i am wondering whats happening. i have started growing pubes down south but not in my armpits. Why is this happening? deoderants? what?

It's a really common thing for people to wonder if their body and what's happening to it during puberty is normal! The important thing to remember is that each person's body is a bit different. So, although there are standards for what to expect during puberty, these are just the average of a range of many people's experiences. For example, everyone has different amounts of body hair, places where they have more or less hair, and the hair itself may grow at different rates. Your body hair and how it grows is affected by genes you've inherited from your parents. This is all to say that it's completely normal to have hair in your pubic area but not your armpits.

hey i wanted to know if there are a lot of girls who shave there pubic hair?...is it safe?...and do guys like it better if you shave then with having pubic hair? Thanx

Many girls and women feel pressure to get rid of the hair on their legs, armpits, and pubic area because of stories in our society about body hair not being feminine. However, all people - male and female - have body hair. And all people have to make decisions about what they want to do with their body hair. This should be a decision that you make for yourself.

Some girls and women feel more comfortable when their body hair is removed and others like to leave the hairs right where they are. Some guys think girls and women look sexy with no body hair, others think body hair is sexy, and others think whatever their partner decides is most sexy. What's most important is that you are comfortable with the decision you make about your body.

If you do decide to remove your pubic hair, there are a few things you should know to keep yourself healthy. This is a more sensitive area than your legs. As this area is not often exposed to light or air, it is easier to get an infection. Shaving and waxing can make cuts or tiny openings, increasing the possibilities of germs - including STIs - being able to enter your body. You may want to talk with an esthetician about the safest method for removing your hair and how to keep this area healthy once you've removed the pubic hair.

i have really dark facial hair! if i pluck them will they grow back really dark and thick? please i need help!i hate it!! thanx Bye Bye!!

It's not always easy to accept our bodies the way they are. We get lots of messages through the media, friends, and family about beauty and how we should look. Although the beauty standards call for hairless women, the truth of the matter is that women do have hair on their legs, arms, and faces! The exact amount, colour, and placement of this hair varies from person to person. Many women choose to remove or lighten some or all of this hair. Common ways that women do this include: bleaching, waxing, plucking, laser removal, etc. None of these methods should cause the hairs to grow back darker or thicker. Shaving is generally not recommended for removing facial hair on women. Before deciding how you want to deal with your facial hair, you may want to talk to a trust adult or visit an aesthetician at a spa or salon.

How much are you supposed to shave? I mean, all guys have different standards apparently.. so what's normally done?

Although there are lots of stereotypes out there about how we should look and how sex happens, there are no real "rules" to either of your questions. There's no health or safety reason for removing or trimming pubic hair or leg hair or armpit hair. Someone people like to keep their body hair and others like to remove it. It all depends on your preference. If you do choose to remove or trim your pubic hair, make sure you do it safely as your genitals are delicate!

Female Ejaculation

What is cum?

Cum is a name for the juice or ejaculation that is released from a man's penis or a woman's urethra and vagina when they experience sexual pleasure or an orgasm. Cum or ejaculation from a man is the release of semen (that white fluid) which contains sperm that can fertilize a woman's egg.

i wanna know if when u have sex, u know when the girl gets like really high, then that feeling is like wanting to pee. whats up with that, wut is it? And sometimes u can pee, but is that actually pee or what? Is it normal for u to pee, or are u not suppose to. But then when guys need to squirt sperm, the feel like wanting to pee too, so it it the same for girls? Or is that really pee that we cant squirt out? plz reply asap. thx veri appreciated.

It sounds like what you're talking about is female ejaculation. This is something that some women experience during orgasm. There are several stages that people go through during sexual stimulation. The stage where they feel the highest is called "orgasm". Orgasms are the way our bodies release the sexual tension that has been building up...Kind of like a balloon popping once it's as full as possible. Orgasms are a very unique thing; we each experience them differently.

Women's orgasms often involve muscle contractions in their vagina that they can't control. Some women also produce a thin, watery, whitish fluid that comes out of their urethra just before or during orgasm. This is known as female ejaculation and is connected to stimulation of the g-spot (a spongy tissue located a couple of inches inside the vagina on the side that faces the belly). Not all women ejaculate. And, even those who can, don't ejaculate every time they orgasm. Many women describe the sensation just before ejaculation as being the same as having to pee. Although female ejaculate does come out of the same place as urine, this is fluid is an ejaculate not pee.
